national holiday

Today is national hair ball day-seriously. Google it. Personally, I rank hairballs right up there with ticks. Now I'm wondering if ticks have their own holiday too. Which would really suck-lol- time for a beer or two.

Growing

Dwight and I have been busy in the garden, green house, and yard. The pear tree is growing good. The grape vines have been trimmed and tied up. The rasberries are budding out. The blueberry bush has blooms on it. We lost some strawberries due to the late cold but we still have around 35 plants going strong. The brocolli is still green. The onions and garlic are starting to scare me. Peppers, bell and jalenpeno, are planted on the back portch and look good. The mint is expanding. We eat lettus and scallions from the green house on a weekly basis. The zinnas and marigolds started in the green house are now outside. Some of the tomatoes in the green house have made it outside. That's a lot to take care of-so I'm sure I need to go water something.
